The Beach
At high or low tide the beach area at Bridgeview Lane Cottages is accessible by a small set of stairs which are used by the guests in both cottages. The waterfront is a tidal river, which means the ocean water goes in and out with the tide. The water is great for swimming and many guests choose to bring inflatables, paddle-boards, etc. The water is quite shallow with a very gradual slope, there is no drop off to worry about. When the tide goes out there is a lot to see and explore on the river bottom for guests of all ages. We provide a collection of water shoes and rubber boots for guests to borrow specifically for this purpose! Please note that depending on recent weather and tidal patterns, there may be sea-grass or driftwood on the beach but, fortunately, rarely any seaweed.
